Applicability
The breakable goods insurance policy may be concluded by any physical or legal person needing to insure the following breakable goods:
• any kind of glasses and mirrors, illuminators and lamps (chandeliers, lustres, ceiling lights, reading lamps, wall lamps, etc.), advertising means, illuminated signs and advertising lamps, sanitary and hygiene goods (sinks, washstands, bidets, bath tubs, shower cabins), terracotta stoves, glass brick walls, stained glass, aquariums, ceiling lights, solar panels, marble, sandstone plates, sculptures, bas-relieves and other ark work made of glass, marble, as well as other breakable goods.
• frames, frameworks, supports, etc. (made of wooden, PVC, metallic, etc.) where the breakable goods insured are framed in, subject to the inclusion of their value in the insured amount.
• expenses for the replacement of the goods broken or cracked, including those for the construction of scaffolds and the use of cranes.
The breakable goods are insured at their replacement value.
Insured risks
The goods may be insured against the following risks:
-fire, thunder, explosion, falling of bodies on the building where the breakable goods are located in or directly on such goods;
-earthquakes;
- flooding, storms, hurricanes, hails, pouring rain;
- collapse or slipping of lands;
- weight of snow or ice, snow avalanches;
- consequences of the pipework breaking;
- hitting by vehicles;
- temperature variations;
- any kind of accidents (including those produced by animal actions);
- mounting –demounting works, mounting of the insured goods as well as initial faulty mounting;
- actions of people (including vandalism, terrorism, damage caused by strikes or civil unrest);
- theft by breaking and entering and heist.
Validity
The Insurance Contract is concluded for one year duration, with the possibility of successive extension by one year.
Insured premium
Then insured premium is annual, but, upon the insured’s request, it may also be paid in sub-annual installments (quarterly, half-yearly).
Compensation
Following the insured event occurrence, the insurer shall award compensation for:
• the goods destroyed, at the replacement value at the moment of the insured event occurrence;
• the expenses for the replacement of the goods damaged because of the insured event occurrence.
The insurer shall also award compensation for the expenses caused by the insured event occurrence, incurred for:
• the building of scaffolds or the use of cranes for the accomplishment of the broken or cracked insured goods replacement;
• the removal and the further restoration of the objects preventing the broken or cracked insured goods replacement.
Compensation
Should one of the insured risks occur, the insurer shall award the following sums as compensation:
• in case of total damage – the insured amount of the policy
• in case of partial damage – within the limit of the insured amount of the policy, the cost at the date of the damage of the repairing, restoration, reconditioning or replacement of the damaged or destroyed parts, operations necessary to bring the damaged or destroyed good to its state previous to the insured event occurrence.
