Professional civil liability arising from the design activity

Applicability


This policy covers the insurance of the specific activity of the professional associations as legal persons as well as of the natural persons involved in the design activity in the Civil or Industrial Engineering field, provided that such activity is conducted on the grounds of a design licence, valid on the Romanian territory.    



The design and supervision works in the Civil Engineering field, such as residential buildings, offices, commercial, health, cult and industrial centers, transportation ways (highways, roads, bridges, tunnels, etc.), centers for sports events, other public interest objectives, may be insured by this policy, as well as the rehabilitation or restoration projects for such.    



Insured risks


The prejudice for which the professional associations and the qualified personnel of such associations are legally responsible for, occurred following the failure to comply with the professional obligations, acts of negligence, design errors or omissions, surface or subsurface analysis, choice of optimal construction materials, contracted works supervision may be insured.



Compensation


Additionally, the amounts of the expenses incurred by the Insured in a civil law suit, if bound to compensation, as well as the loss (material damage and personal injuries) suffered by third party persons following the insured event.
